I’d also like to able to switch apps faster. But I like customisation on my console, it’s mine after all, I want YouTube ready to go as much as I want my character to look slender in say The Division 2 to make me feel good when I’ll never achieve that because of all the lying down and gaming. Uniformity works in some aspects but every PS dashboard looks almost identical which is handy for finding what you’re looking for on any console I guess. I watch a lot of YouTube, in fact I don’t even have a telly aerial in my home, I just game or watch gaming vids on YouTube, what I’m saying is I’m a winner! No, what I’m saying is I’d love to customise my dashboard with every app and pins exactly where I want it in the order I want it. As much as people love new games we also love seeing a classic looking shinier than ever and loading instantly, it makes me feel all warm inside when a loading bar you’d stare at for 3 minutes back in the day fills instantly but then I’m strange like that. The Xbox One X even upscaled old Xbox Original games to 4K in some cases and PlayStation should follow suit. I feel Sony dropped the ball with ‘back compat’ this generation especially compared to Xbox. And this has to return next gen, as it’s invaluable to content creators and simply great fun for sharing clips with friends. It also has YouTube/Facebook/Twitter integration so you can seamlessly upload that Apex Legends clutch squad wipe montage of your dreams with absolute ease. ‘SHAREfactory’ on PS4 is a tool for editing videos you’ve recorded from your hard-drive and easily one of the best, free overlooked features of the generation. I’d like to talk about what I’d like to see from the next generation of console, a wish list I guess, though if I were wishing, I wouldn’t waste it on an incremental console upgrade but hey, a guys gotta write…

They covered things like not expecting it this year (2019) and that it would obviously be more powerful as a given. So, spoke to Sony recently about the rumoured and inevitable PlayStation 5.
